Concept art for my visual novel game set in a post-apocalyptic world: After permafrost melts, a research transport carrying PiV-23 crashes, unleashing a virus that hijacks the nervous system and drives hosts to hunt for heat. The infected or "The Fevered" don’t die once infected; they burn and spread the fire. Cities fell when the infected dogpiled power plants. Now the world is a patchwork of walled settlements, roaming survivor caravans, and fire-scarred wilderness. You live in a fortified fire-watch tower inside a national park, one of the last safe cold zones. Supplies are running out. Rumors spread of a hidden sanctuary beyond the mountains where glaciers keep the air cold enough to suppress the virus.
