The Bad and The Ugly
This story was supposed to replace BYTE but I never finished illustrating anything past these illustrations from ACT 1 of the story: Players take on the role of Laura or Carmilla (I haven’t yet decided if I’m even keeping the names), navigating dusty towns, deserts, and mountains while uncovering a hidden war between humans and vampires. From tense early encounters that establish the stakes, to moral choices that affect townsfolk, faction alliances, and personal power, every decision shapes the story. Gameplay combines open-world exploration, gunfights, vampire abilities, and side quests. Gameplay mirrors the freedom of RDR and The Last of Us, and the supernatural combat of Vampyr. The narrative builds to a climactic showdown with a vampire kingpin, offering multiple endings that reflect the player’s choices and morality, creating a dark, immersive frontier adventure where survival, strategy, and consequence reign supreme. This was my first time rendering an environment realistically (without lineart).
