At this point, the robot woman was chosen to move forward with, and the color palette changed. Below are layouts and color comps of that one.
The client decided to scrap the robot idea for the cover as they did not want to continue with the woman theme, as last year's magazine had a woman on the cover as well. Instead, she was moved inside the journal. I also animated this spread a bit for the AR Experience.
After this, Robot Lady was replaced with a more abstract artwork that I also did.
